Dear Friend,
‘Tis the season to be jolly, when our days are supposed to be merry and bright, we share good cheer with family, friends, and strangers, help the needy, shop and spend.
But mostly it is a season of light when all cultures and traditions honor the Divine Light by celebrating the return of the sun on the Winter Solstice.
My spiritual teacher, Swami Kriyananda, explains the deeper meaning in Your Sun Sign As a Spiritual Guide:
“Winter is a time of outward stillness. The leaves have fallen from the trees. The sap has ceased to flow. Snow covers much of the land, hushing men’s footsteps, and burying the endlessly varied bushes, trees, and shrubs under an impartial quilt of white. In this season Nature abandons for a time her outward frivolities. Even in warmer climes the air seems charged with an awareness that life is more than gay flowers and laughing brooks, that what truly matters are eternal principles. Winter symbolizes that period in the soul’s growth when the ego, its autumn months of self-questioning finished, seeks fulfillment in relating to broader realities.
“The winter solstice marks the point at which the sun’s influence on man’s consciousness is most “inward.” The loss of ego-consciousness which this solstice implies marks the culmination of Sagittarius’s expansive influence. For Capricorn, it implies only the beginning of a serious search for impersonal realities.
“Capricorn, the last of the earth signs, represents earth in its last stages of refinement: the rocks, minerals, and gems into which it condenses over eons of time.
“Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of contraction, of concentration. Saturn’s rulership here suggests great powers of concentration, and an ability to condense amorphous facts into small precious stones of truth.”
I’m tuning into this power of Saturn by taking a week of seclusion and fasting between Christmas and New Years for deeper meditation and pranayama practice, 2021 review and 2022 planning. This is when I outline informative and inspiring content to serve you this next year.
In closing, I want to thank you, my loverly readers, for allowing me to accompany you on your spiritual journey! Thank you from my heart for your support.
May we all together manifest a new consciousness on this earth!
Sending you lots of love and light,
Kamala

Many people think Christ Consciousness comes from Christianity. But the truth is that it was known to spiritual adepts long before Jesus Christ and goes by many names in different traditions. The concept of Christ Consciousness needs to be understood as a universal truth.
