Friday Reflection: My Relationship Brings Me Peace and Joy

by Nayaswami Kamala

Peace and joy of relationship

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu

My relationships add depth and meaning to my life, especially my relationship with my partner. I feel very lucky and blessed to have my partner in my life because our friendship brings me happiness and peace.

My partner gives me a great sense of serenity by providing me with support and security. Everyday my partner enriches my life, and I'm excited to see where our relationship is headed.

I am grateful for our amazing relationship. I see it as one of the most important blessings I've ever received. I do everything I can to value and return the gift of our love.

I put out the energy each day to be just as supportive of our relationship. I want my partner to experience the same sense of peace and joy that I do. I find that my efforts are returned to me at an even higher level. I reap what I sow. Life is like that.

Relationships can be challenging, but our love is so strong that challenging times are easily overcome by working it out together. Challenges only serve to bring us closer together and strengthen our relationship.

Sometimes, my instinct is to protect myself. But I can see that giving of myself is a great investment. The interest I receive on that investment is incalculable. I am happier when I expand my little self and think more of others.

Today, I choose to accept everything my relationship has to offer me.

I am open to feeling even better than I do now.

My relationship with my partner brings me peace and joy and grows ever deeper with time.
